St. Ives Cleansing Stick Review!

*Disclaimer: I received these products for free and for testing purposes. These are my 100% honest opinions and are not sponsored.

Hello, my beautiful people!

Before we get started, I want to say that it feels amazing being back on my “blog flow.” The last few months of 2017 were the worst months I had to ever go through, but that’s beside the matter. I’m ready to continue blogging and hopefully put out content that everyone will love. A little side-note: I re-vamped my blog with a completely new theme and logo, so please feel free to check it out!

I recently received two out of the three St. Ives Cleansing Sticks to test out and review for you guys! I have been testing these out for about two weeks now in order to have a more accurate review. I’m not a big fan of cleansing sticks but I must admit these were different from other cleansing sticks I’ve tried and…I love them!

St. Ives Detox Matcha Green Tea & Ginger Cleansing Stick ($7.99)

I used this one two times a day for one whole week and I saw some improvements in my skin. I am very acne-prone so any product that claims to help detox my pores is something I am willing to try. I did see my pores getting smaller and I felt super refreshed after using this cleansing stick. BUT…I must admit that it did dry out my skin a few times, which is nothing new to me due to my skin being a tad dryer during the winter time. (Nothing moisturizer can’t fix!) Overall, I truly recommend this one if you are more on the combo/oily side. If you have dry skin, try using this 1-2 times a week to help detox your pores and then moisturize afterward.

St. Ives Glow Apricot & Manuka Honey Cleansing Stick ($7.99)

Now, this cleansing stick was a lot more moisturizing than the other one, which felt amazing. I didn’t see any improvements on my skin like the Detox cleansing stick, but my skin didn’t feel as drying. Also, the smell at first is truly amazing but then as you start to lather the formula, it gets a weird after smell. It isn’t bad but it also isn’t very pleasant (this is 100% a personal preference issue). Overall, I recommend this one if you have drier skin and do not have pore/acne issues. This one is much simpler and tends to just do what a cleansing stick should do.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and are just as excited as I am to get back into blogging! I have a lot of ideas in mind but would definitely enjoy hearing from you guys as well. Please comment or send in any ideas/recommendations you have for me! Continue being the wonderful people you guys are and as always…
